Ruth and George were two of my parents dearest friends. She was just an amazing woman who was really ‘ahead of her time’ in so many respects. Her tireless energy for Mountainside Hospital, behind the scenes efforts in all facets of Montclair, whether education, beautification, or just how things should be done. We all benefited from her knowledge and sense of humor. A pillar who will be missed, but how fortunate we were to be called a friend. To all the Boys and their families, I am truly sorry for the loss of your dear Mother. She really was a special person and meant so much to my family.

Dear Robert and the whole extended Family,
From the bottom of our hearts, please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your Mother - an extraordinary fine woman and a dear friend.
Her commendable life and love should serve as a golden example for others an especially now when so many are trying to tear this wonderful country apart.
I did not interact with Ruth as often as with her husband George, with whom I collaborated for about fifteen years after he retired from General Cable. On the hot summer days when we were returning from the work site at Orange and Rockland Utility, Ruth was waiting with two cold one served in a frozen beer stein, which mercifully contained only 12 U.S. fl oz of the golden-colored liquid. The alcohol-free kind was as yet popular, and I still have to travel to my house.
I do not recall what the year it was but it has to be around 2010 and George practicaly could't move because of his knees and Ruth pushing Him gently from behind so He can reach the chair. Such a stunning show of love and devotion.
Now the house at Bellgrove is empty as two wonderful occupants of it passed the Pearly Gates.
God bless both of them.

I knew Ruth in the later years of her life. I met her when we both volunteered at Mountainside and we discovered that we lived near one another. I have many fond memories of visiting with Ruth and laughing repeatedly about the absurdity of life. She very much lived in the moment, keeping herself up to date about what was going on nationally and in town.
I will miss Ruth very much. She was a wonderful friend.
