I read about Doreen's death in the Star Ledger. I am so sorry for your loss. Death of a loved one can be very distressing even if the person is elderly or sick. I would like to share the Bible's hope for those who have died and an encouragement for those who have lost a loved one. The Bible teaches us that death was not part of God's original plan. He wanted man to live forever on a paradise earth. Man disobeyed God and brought about sin and death to the human race. God's plan will still be realized. Isaiah 55:11 states, "So my word that goes out of my mouth will be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly accomplish whatever is my delight. It will have sure success in what I send it to do." The Bible talks about a resurrection of those who have died. (Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29) The word resurrection in the Bible literally means "a standing up again" and "revival of the dead". The provision for resurrection of the dead is a magnificent expression of God's undeserved kindness. It displays his wisdom and power and is a means by which his original purpose regarding the earth will be carried out. If you would like to know more about what the Bible teaches, please visit JW.org. Sincerely, Paula

I am sorry to learn of Doreen’s passing, and offer my prayerful condolences to her family. I remember her and Tom from their participation in formation for the Diaconate. May they rest now together in peace.

Dear Mary and entire family,
My deepest condolences to you all at this time as you say your final farewell and pay tribute to your mother’s life. Having grown up across the street (Haddon Place), I have so many fond memories of Doreen. She was a truly sweet lady, a good-natured neighborhood mom and wonderful friend to my parents. I like to picture them all together in heavenly peace. May you find peace and comfort knowing she is safe in the arms of Jesus! God Bless.
Love, Kris Pilsbury

My Mom, Gosh how I miss you. I can’t believe you are not here with us. Mom had incredible strength, like I have never seen before and will never see again. It’s so painful not being with my mom at the end, but I can only believe she was at peace. I’m just lost without you, Mom. I thank God for our mom. She was truly an angel given to our family. Loving Memories of Mom will always be in my heart. Love you so my dearest Mother.

As I sit and think of my mom so many wonderful memories come back. As a youngster I would sit on the couch and she would teach me how to knit.I was always amazed at how fast her fingers went! Her last blanket she made was for her great grand daughter Madison. In the fall we would come home from school and mom would be sitting at the kitchen table cutting apples and dad would be cooking them. The smell of the apple sauce they made was amazing and mom would have a warm apple crisp for desert all ready for the family. And sharing a nice cup of tea while we watch the soap opera with Eileen after coming home from highschool and how she was excited to hear that I had x-rayed one of the stars from her soap. My heart though broken with her passing and especially since I couldn't be there with her at the end knows the love she gave all of us and now I will go on and continue to share her stories with my children and grandchildren. Love you Mom XOXOXO
