I am so sorry to hear of Dr Rubacky's passing. He meant so much to myself and my family. I was born with a severely deformed left arm and my father was away in the military at the time (1970). Dr. R put together a game plan that he was confident would give me the best mobility and ability moving forward. A decade of operations culminated with a major surgery that had not been perfomed previously, he rotated one of my fingers to use as a thumb. Thanks to his confidence, vision, and understanding that I was willing to do whatever it took and was open to anything that would make my arm useful. I ended up being an All-Star pitcher in little league, 4 years varsity tennis in High School, and can't imagine what my life would've been if i just had arm straightened and locked like most did in those days. As i type this on my laptop with both hands there is nobody to thank more than Dr. Rubacky. My uncle played golf with him down in Florida (they realized the connection during the round) and I was so happy he remembered me, he will always hold a special place in my heart and the Sisbarro Family. Sorry for your loss and God Bless.

Marge & Family
My deepest condolences go out to all of you on the passing of Doc. I can honestly say that it is my pleasure to have known him and to have called him my friend as it is for him to have called me his friend. I recall sharing a beer with him and having conversations together on topics such as medical ethics, baseball and Picasso. He was a Renaissance man in the true sense of the word.

Dear Mrs Rubacky and family - my deepest sympathy at this sad time. I worked with Dr Rubacky for many years in the ER at Mountainside and later as the office manager at Montclair Ortho group. I enjoyed his family stories as I too was one of eight children. He was a good doc and liked by his patients. He will be missed by many. Sincerely Frances McHugh Coon

To Mrs. Rubacky and The Entire Rubacky Family,
I wish to send my condolences to Mrs. Rubacky and the entire Rubacky "Clan". The World has lost a truly incredible man....Father, Doctor, Grandfather, and one of MGC's true gentlemen.
I remember the Rubacky station wagon pulling up to the front gate of the pool and instantly transforming an empty pool to one that was alive and full of children. I remember that when we had a swim meet, if we had the Rubacky's and the Healey's, we had a full team. Through thick and thin, Dr. Rubacky was there to held his support and encouragement.
When Dr. Rubacky talked with you, you always felt you had his undivided attention and that he was truly listening to what you had to say. He never gave you the brush off because he was too busy or gave the opinion that he didn't care what you had to say.
He was a great Father and he will live on in everyone of his children which are special people unto themselves.
Montclair Golf Club has lost one of it legendary members. Dr. Rubacky was up there with other people that helped shape MGC into the Club that it is now. Dr. Rubacky along with Mr. John Phillips, Mr. John Kelsey, Mr. Bernie Deehan supported the Club through thick and thin.
Mrs. Rubacky, it was always evident when your were with Dr. Rubacky that you shared love and respect for one another.
I hope the all of the Rubacky's will be able to remember the good times and will take comfort that your Husband, Father, and Grandfather is in a better place.
God bless Dr. Rubacky.
Bill Dunscombe - Old Time Pool Director at Montclair Golf Club.
