I met Liz at NYU, in University Heights, Bronx NY, and I was in an endless loop trying to graduate. She helped me to finish my degree. In addition, she helped me get accepted into a Cornell University graduate program. It was from Liz and her family that I learned how to survive in the work-a-day world. (Kappy had lost his job, but at 50 he rebounded and moved on.) We remained close friends throughout her stay in Ithaca. It was a sad day when she left, just as it saddens me to learn of her passing.
