Big Eee, its a been a couple of weeks since your passing and I am still at such a loss. You were one of my first and closest friends in the business when we sat next to each other trading for 4 years. You taught me alot about the business and life in general. We would always sing Biggie Smalls songs and laugh our butts off, hence me always calling you Big Eee from then on. We went through so many good times and some horrible ones as well during 9/11. Your laugh was so unique and I dont think I ever was around you without laughing to where it hurt. Like the time we all got together in the city and we got a flat tire on your car or van I cant remember. We were cracking up the entire time changing that tire.
I got a chance to meet your two amazing daughters as well as your sister. It was good to see Carolyn too after all these years had passed. I wished it was all under better circumstances.
Something told me to pick up the phone and call you when I saw your Mom passed. We spoke briefly and it was great to hear your voice, again even under bad circumstances. We hung up and I said, "love you bro and you responded with 'love you too brother" . That would be the last words we spoke to one another. I will truly miss you and regret we never got together more to golf. R.I.P. my friend, you were truly one of a kind and I am so grateful to have called you my good friend all of these years later. There is no doubt you are in a better place with your Mom at this point. I hope you know now how many lives you touched and how loved you were. Will miss you Big Eeee.

Ed Forman was one of the brightest lights to shine in the halls of Boonton High School. I had the pleasure of working with Ed from 2016-2024 and I can honestly say, that man cared deeply about the community in which he served. Ed was funny, charismatic, and always very well dressed (which is something we always talked about). Ed was there for his students to celebrate every victory and right every wrongdoing. During the darkest of times, (through the electrical fire which displaced the high school students and staff, a loss in the community which brought deep sorrow, or the pandemic which forced us to learn remotely), Ed was still spreading positivity by greeting every student and every staff member with the biggest smile making us remember things will get better. Ed treated the students as if they were his own. A memory I will never forget is when Ed bought a suit and tie for a student of ours that simply did not have appropriate clothing to wear to a banquet dinner. Ed's generosity seeped into our building and made us all want to do a little bit more. Ed, you will be missed. The world has lost a great man and BHS has lost a great leader. And to his daughters: I hope you know just how proud of both of you your dad was. He loved you both immensely and that was obvious to anyone who knew him. He may be gone, but he'll be guiding you from above.

I taught Ed math @ IS/JHS 49 in 1983-84 and later mentored Ed in 2001-2002 when he began his teaching career. As both his teacher and his colleague - Ed had that great smile, quick wit and creative guile to meet any situation head on. I loved teaching Ed math, for I witnessed his self-discipline & desire to make something of himself - to learn, grow and to be a leader. As a colleague - Ed demonstrated that same skill set and expanded his horizon to living & caring families - both at home and at school. Ed was meant to be a leader not by just words - but by positive and genuine actions - he truly made a difference -and I am grateful for such. My heart felt condolences to his family - school district - colleagues and students - May Ed’s legacy live on in all of us.

Our family was blessed to know Ed and he was part of our children's lives for many years. No soccer tournament would be complete without Ed reminding the girls "Good things happen when you run!". You would think that advice would apply when Carolyn and I foolishly trained for a marathon. Ed was our biggest supporter at those early morning weekend runs. He was also a great sport when my husband selected their "uniform" for a golf tournament, this really showed what a good sport Ed could be.
We are so lucky to have Ed as a friend all these years and we will cherish all the ways he made our lives better.
We love you!

Mr. Forman was my vice principal at Boonton high. Whenever I was in a bad mood he knew how to cheer me up. Although we didn’t have the best start when we first met, we grew to be close. I will forever cherish my moments at Boonton high school with him. I have learned and have grown so much from him. I love the way he would crack jokes even if they weren’t funny. When I would rush to the line to scan out for lunch he always would scan me last and say I wasn’t allowed out for lunch, just to be funny. I would usually come in late to school and whenever he saw me walk in an hour past the start of school, he would just shake his head and sometimes add a little laugh. I am truly blessed to have got to know him well and had the honor of being one of his students for 3 years. I will forever miss him.

Dear Mr. Forman, thank you.
Our bond grew immensely throughout my senior year in high school: 2023-2024. Before my senior year, he was just the vice principal that stood in the hallways after the bell rung, chasing down the late students, ensuring students followed the rules, and making sure the troublemakers stayed out of trouble. However, Mr. Forman was more than just a vice principal. He was humorous. He was a jokester. He was beyond kindhearted. He was a friend of mine.
The greatest decision I made was choosing “School Service” as my free elective. Throughout School Service, I “worked” in the front office assisting faculty and staff. I officially met Forman through the elective and I am beyond grateful for that chance.
Through the silly tasks he gave me we grew to have more conversations, more jokes, more laughter and smiles, and more memories. He always bragged about his daughters and family, and proudly displayed pictures of them all over his office. He always talked about his BMW that everyone obsessed about, and even allowed me to step out of class just to see it. I gained the advantage of being 5 minutes late to class just to finish up a conversation with him. We bonded like friends rather than a student and vice principal. Throughout school service, we made many memories, but one will always stick with me. Our strong shared interest over F1. It was senior internship, and there were mandatory meetings each Friday. The date my F1 tickets were fell on one of those Fridays. I marched straight into his office and pleaded to be excused from the meeting. He was straightforward and said “No” until he asked why. I told him honestly about my F1 trip and doesn’t say a word, but instead pulls out his phone and begins showing me photos of him and his family’s trip at an F1 race. Without hesitation, he excused me from the meeting. I would even say he was happier than me knowing I was going to go to an F1 race. I wasn’t allowed to tell anyone why I was missing the meeting, not even the principal. It was our little secret. It isn’t one anymore, but a memory that lives on forever.
I could speak about how great, sweet, kind, and respectful he was but I don’t want to. Mr. Forman is and will continue to live on to be the great, sweet, kind, and respectful man hundreds, if not thousands know. Thank you Mr. Forman for everything you have done for me, students, friends, and family.

I met Ed when he began to play Bowling Green Golf Club. We played together most every weekend for several years. He was a tough competitor, but always ready for a laugh. His game was characterized by booming drives ( always fighting a big slice ) great putting and a deft short game. As we often spoke about our families it was apparent he had great love for his wife and family and was immensely proud of his two daughters. He was always looking forward to his time down by Stone Harbor. Yesterday being informed of his passing at the golf course the entire staff and and friends were in total shock and sadness that he was taken so young. Needless to say he will be missed. My condolences to his family. But I'm thinking he will be to straighten out that slice in heaven.

I am still heartbroken by the news of Mr. Forman's passing. I was a student at Boonton High School, class of 2024, while Forman worked as Vice Principal, but I had also had him as an administrator in middle school. My siblings did too, and they are heartbroken as well. It feels like just yesterday he hugged me at graduation, called me his brother, and I could tell he was truly proud of me. Forman was such a kind man, truly loved by the community. Me and many others are devastated by this loss and send condolences to his family. One little memory I'll share was talking about music with Forman, and I will say that he had very good taste. We bonded over our love for Wu-Tang Clan, and now every time I hear any of their songs, I will think of Forman, and all of the good he has done for me, my family, and hundreds, if not thousands of students, teachers, family, friends, and acquaintances. Again, my condolences to the family, and a final Wu-Tang forever to one of the kindest men I've ever known. Thank you Forman, for everything you have done, and for being the incredible man that you were.

Dear Forman family,
Eddie was one of my first friends at Bloomsburg. We reconnected via facebook and I loved watching his family grow, his travels, his work out journey. I would be sure to walk down to his family's home at the shore to say hi. He was an amazing man and I am so sorry to hear of his passing. The world is a lot less bright today. I'm so very, very sorry.
