Jose Ubaldo Bode peacefully passed away on January 26th surrounded by the love of his family. He was a Cuban exile who fled Castro's regime with only the will to succeed. He had a grade school education but with a dedicated work ethic and exceptional determination became a successful business owner and homeowner. He raised his three children with his loving wife Yeris in Corona, Queens. He lived the American dream to the fullest and created the foundation for his children and grandchildren to achieve a better life than he could have ever dreamed of. "Bebo" as he was called by many family and friends was an avid baseball fan, a competitive domino player, an accomplished bird breeder, and a skillful videographer who left his family priceless cherished memories on film. He loved traditional Cuban food, watching baseball, his morning cafecito, and his beautiful canarios. He was a simple, fiercely proud man who adored his family. He is survived by his loving children Jose' Bode (and his wife, Ronni) , Jacqueline (and her husband, Eddie), Jerita (and her husband, Raymond.) He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Joseph, Sabrina, Michael, Jenna, Mia, Max, and Logan. He was predeceased by his brother Raul Bode and is survived by his loving sister Maria "Pituka" Martinez. Our hearts are heavy with grief by the loss of our loving patriarch but we are eternally grateful for all his sacrifices and the many lessons he taught. We are blessed to have loved and been loved by him. Gracias por todo Papi...te queremos mucho. Te extrañaremos por siempre Papi. Descansa en paz querido padre y abuelo...tu legado vive ♥️
