Caroline and Peter and family,
Your Mom was one of the strongest women I’ve ever known…what might have destroyed others, she handled with grace and patience. I cannot tell you how much I admired her: her intelligence, her wit, her beautiful voice, her sense of adventure, her love of family, her love of life! It was such a gift to have been her neighbor and friend all those years. Rest in Peace, Joan, yours was truly a life well-lived.
