Mary Poueymirou (neé McKenna), 86, of Montclair, passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2023. She is survived by her husband Andre Poueymirou, and four children Andrew (Rose) Poueymirou, Anne Stusnick, Joe (Alice) Poueymirou, and Mike (Bayne) Poueymirou. Loving “Nana” of Sean (Jacquelyn) O’Connor, Julia, Daniel, and Marie Stusnick, and Celia and Emily Poueymirou. Sister of Christopher (Kathleen) McKenna and predeceased by her beloved twin sister Eileen McCann. She Is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

Born in Dublin, Ireland to Sarah (neé Shanley) and Christopher McKenna. After raising her family in Montclair, she worked at Bradford, Mt. Hebron, and Glenfield schools for many years. She was also a dedicated parishioner of Saint Cassian’s Catholic Church in Montclair. She loved to read, and enjoyed drinking coffee along with spending time with her cherished grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, May 17 10 AM at Saint Cassian’s, Montclair. Interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visitation/Celebration of Life Tuesday, May 16 4 PM – 8 PM at Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home 76 Park Street Montclair.
