Obituary of Thomas Dyer
Thomas J. Dyer, age 69, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 26, 2021. He was the youngest of seven siblings, born on March 21, 1952.
He is predeceased by his parents, James and Frances Dyer, and older brother James Dyer Jr. He leaves five sisters, Kathy of Harleysville Pa, Judy from Boston, MA, Mary Lou Daley from Chatham, NJ, Terry from Green Lane, Pa, Elizabeth from Montclair, NJ and Pat Dyer, sister-in-law from Denville, New Jersey. In addition, Tom has many nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren who will miss him.
Tom graduated from Boston College and worked in sales for Dyer Insulation for a number of years before starting his own executive coaching business. Tom’s consulting company, Collaborative Outcomes provided collaborative strategies and coaching to top executives and teams in the pharmaceutical industry. He was considered an expert in this field.
Tom’s commitment to personal growth and service led him to become a facilitator for Insight Personal Development Seminars, leading workshops in Russia, Bulgaria, Africa and South America. He remained connected to the Insight Community throughout his career. During this time, Tom had earned a Master’s in Applied Psychology from University of Santa Monica, and a Doctorate in Spiritual Science from Peace Theological Seminary. Tom was a Minister in the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness where he was devoted to his spiritual growth and meditation practice.
Rugby was a love of Tom’s life as he appreciated the mutual trust and life-long friendships involved. He loved how rugby players “played hard and partied hard.” Highlights included traveling to several continents to play with the Retired Old Men’s Rugby Association.
Tom enjoyed living on his property “Peace Falls,” in Pennsylvania with his two beloved dogs, Grace and Buddha. He created his dream oasis, on the five acres with a waterfall and creek surrounded by his statues of spiritual and world leaders.
Those who knew Tom in his life recognized his special fun and loving nature. He brought joy to all who he came into contact with, by his happy and loving energy. Tom had a profound personnel effect on those he worked with in his business, helping them achieve their business goals while growing personally. He was a teacher, coach and mentor to both those in his business and in his personal life.
His family, friends, colleagues and everyone who knew and loved him, will miss him dearly.
