Joyce A. (Clark) Masilunas age 84, of Verona, NJ formerly of Upper Montclair passed away suddenly on Saturday April 18, 2020.
She was preceded by Edward, her husband for 60 years, and is survived by her 4 children, Cyndee (Bob) Rowan of Montclair, NJ, Dena (Todd) Gertz of Roseland, NJ, Lisa (Dave) Sabagh of Cedar Grove, NJ and Edward Jr. (Amy) Masilunas of Mt. Lebanon, PA. 9 grandchildren: Robert, Emily; Justin, Jake, Jason; Katheryn, Jack; and Owen, Grace.
Joyce was born and raised in Coal Grove, Ohio, one of two children to Gladys and Gray Clark. Joyce’s sibling is the late Wilma Jean (Clark) McDonald of Naples, FL. She graduated from Ironton High School, was very proud of being an Ironton Tiger and never missed a high school reunion to visit with her friends.
She was an airline attendant for Eastern Airlines and was based in New York City. Soon after moving to NYC she met her husband Edward. She enjoyed working many years at Macy’s promoting the fragrances of Giorgio Armani and Versace.
Joyce lived a purposeful life with a large extended family, gratifying career and travel to many parts of the world with her husband. She was a member of St. Cassian Church in Upper Montclair, NJ. A long-time member of the Mercier Club. She enjoyed playing tennis, bowling, bocce and watching the PGA/LPGA. She was a Trustee for 40+ years for St. Vincent Auxiliary in Montclair & Cedar Grove, NJ. She was a member of the Woman’s Club of Upper Montclair.
A memorial will be planned at a future date for family and friends to gather and share memories.
