Obituary of James Vincent McGuire
James (Jay) Vincent McGuire
It is with great sadness that the family of James Vincent McGuire, known to friends and family as “Jay,” announces his sudden passing from heart failure on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the age of 65. Jay will forever be held in the hearts of his daughter Devin (Dan) Naturale and granddaughter Delaney, sisters Pam (Steve) Mack, Audrey (Jim Perry), brother Brian (Colleen) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jay grew up in Garden City, New York and lived for many years in Essex Fells and Bernardsville, New Jersey. He was an alumnus of Georgetown University and St. Johns University. He began his career with Navigators Management Company, Inc in 1979 and rose to Sr. Vice President. In recent years he was with Emax Financial & Real Estate Advisory Services in New York City.
Jay was kind with a great sense of humor. He was an aficionado of music of all kinds, especially jazz. He was a golfer, an avid reader with a curious mind and a devoted fan of the New York Giants. Jay took great joy in his most recent role as “Grandpoppy” to his beloved Delaney.
