Jean’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

I have known and worked with Jean on recycling projects since the late 1970’s . She was a valuable mentor 6to me when I was Director of Recycling for the state of NJ . She truly dedicated herself to environmental issues as a volunteer and worked persistently to achieve her goals. A few years ago I visited Jean in her home to help produce a video on the history of recycling. She was truly a kind and generous person .

I knew Jean from many Conservation Committee meetings with Board members, and I recall with fondness the support I received from her - and Milt Levy, whom I thought of as kindred in spirit.
A thoughtful and determined force for good.

Jean was a mentor to me, and my guide into the world of recycling economics, programs, and policies in Montclair and around our state. She and I served together on the Board of Directors of the Association of NJ Recyclers (ANJR), and I drove her to our monthly meetings for years. She often regaled me with the histories of the early years of recycling - she was there, one of the original activists - but she also told me stories of her childhood, summers in the Adirondacks, and her travels around the world. I helped to create a short film about Jean for ANJR, which she enjoyed. Above all, Jean was authentic. I am grateful that she took me under her wing, and for my good fortune to have worked closely with a true environmental visionary.
