Uncle Ray,
You were a carefree, kind-hearted uncle with a smile that touched everyone. I will always remember our Costco trips, fishing adventure with Uncle Richard, Commonwealth Club cookout, holidays with the family, and just listening to your stories. Always such a genuine person who never had anything negative to say. We love and miss you deeply and you will never be forgotten in our lives.
Briana and Blake (great-nephew)

Ray was the very definition of "quiet confidence." Confidence in profession, family, friends and self. He never talked about himself only if something he knew or experienced might help your situation. Fortunately, Ray knew a lot about a lot. He was a mechanical, technical, and general knowledge guru. A "goto" guy when something had to be fixed, researched, decided or solved. The more I think about Ray, the more I realize his brothers and sisters are a lot like him too. The whole family is wonderful, smart, helpful, giving...just like Ray was. Ray was here in Florida and asked me to go with him to look at a motorcycle. I did. You should have been there when he grilled the sales staff about the bike and the purchase, I'm sure they learned a lot from Ray, I did. Ray bought the bike and had it shipped to NJ. As I was driving him to Tampa Airport he said "Rob, don't mention that I bought a bike to my Mom, OK?" That was Ray being thoughtful about not having his Mom needlessly worry about him on a motorcycle.
There is a special place in Heaven for someone like Ray Rogers. He will be sitting very close to God, as a quiet advisor. You see, I imagine God likes "quiet confidence" when making difficult decisions...now he has the "goto" guy for just that. I will miss you Ray, I wish I had spent more time listening to your stories of life experiences. Somehow I believe I will hear from you when needed.
