Claire M. (Werner) Vaughan, 94, of Montclair died Monday, October 9, 2017.

Born in Newark, NJ, Claire is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James.  Also survived by her son, Christopher and his wife Julie of North Easton, MA, son Martin of  Montclair and son Robert and his wife Ramona of Stroudsburg, PA.  She is survived by 10 grandchildren, Catherine Eriksen, Timothy Vaughan, Elizabeth Vaughan, Anna Vaughan, Judith Genneken, Michael Kornytchuk, Stephen Palmatier, Sal Palmatier, Rebecca Vaughan and Robert Vaughan. She is survived by 4 great grandchildren, Alyssa, Steven, Luca and Owen.

Claire was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Alice Werner, her 7 siblings and her children Michael James, Alice and Mary Ellen.

Claire was a long time communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Montclair and the Building Manager for 188 Claremont Avenue where she made many life-long friends.
