Gwynneth FIELDING (nee Coleman), aged 89, sister of the late Joan Baker and Eric Coleman of Auckland New Zealand, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 24, 2012 at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey.
Born in Auckland in 1923, Ms. Fielding had lived in London (UK) and then Boston. She was a long-term resident of Hawthorne Towers, Montclair. She worked for a New York City social agency from 1972 until the late 1990s. As part of her work, she enjoyed travelling extensively to arrange and manage business conferences.
She was well known for her fine taste in clothing and love of the arts and classical music. She often played difficult Chopin selections on her antique Pleyel piano.
Along with her friends and colleagues here in the United States, Gwynneth will be deeply missed by her family in New Zealand - her niece Diana and Carolyn and Dorothy, David, Zara, Alexia and Nate.
