Obituary of Italo Joseph Fabbro

Italo Joseph Fabbro, 88, who raised his family in Montville, NJ and was a recent resident at Cranes Mill, West Caldwell, NJ, passed away on May 19, 2017.  Joseph was born on March 19, 1929 to John and Catherine (Candusso) Fabbro.  Raised in the Bronx, Joseph graduated from The City College of New York with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1951 and received a Masters of Business from Farleigh Dickenson University in 1977.  Joseph served his country in the Korean War.   Preferring work to retirement, Joseph contributed to the workforce until he was 83 years old.  His successful career in manufacturing and research included the industries of rubber, plastics, and chemicals.   He was a gentle, loving and cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend.  Joseph was predeceased by Elsie, his beloved wife and childhood sweetheart of 57 years, his sister Ines Cevetillo and brother Arthur Fabbro.  He is survived by his adored sister Elsa Zambano, 3 daughters, Diane (Garsetti), Debbie (Fabbro), Barbara (Mogavero) and son John (Fabbro).  Joseph was the tender, loving “Nonno” to 9 grandchildren.  Joe enjoyed reading the New Yorks Times every morning, northern Italian food of his heritage, a good glass of wine, fishing, and most of all the family gathered - enjoying the ocean breeze and each other on the east end of Long Island.
