Years melted away after hearing from another of our Fourth Street neighbors, Barbara Pandolph Muglia, that our childhood friend, 'Skeeter', has passed.
As happens, the years have slipped by without hearing all but a few tidbits of Bruce but I'm not surprised to hear, from the obituary posting here, of what a good family man he had become. His folks, Frank and Helen, were such a big part of our neighborhood and Bruce and Lin were more like a brother and sister than just friends to my brother, me, and the other kids we grew up with back then. How many evenings did we play ball after dinner in the street between our houses with Skeeter or help Linda 'herd' that big white duck of hers back to its crate....so many happy and funny memories.
To his wife, children, and friends, may you find comfort in your memories as I do of my childhood pal.
