Will,
I will NEVER forget your mom's incredible raspy voice . . . and how kind she always was to me. They definitely broke the mold when they made her. She was such a dynamic lady. I'm very sorry for your loss.
All my best to you and all the family.
Love,
Christine

I was looking forward to spending time with Emily last weekend at our House In the Pines getogether. The news saddened us all. However we celebrated her life with a toast and shared memories of our school days at House In The Pines. How blessed we were to have been Emily's classmate and friend. She will be remembered in my thoughts and prayers.

I met "Jazzy" (Emily) via the SayWhat Club at the Cape May convention. Her genuine care & hospitality towards her guests (convention goers) was obvious from the get go. She was an amazing woman. What a privilege to have had her as a friend. My condolences to all on the passing of your beloved mother & Mimi. Thank you for sharing her as she guided and enriched the SayWhat Club all these wonderful years.
respectfully, Susan Dohne.

In the mid '90s, I was a regular at Trumpets on Thursday evenings- in the back enjoying gumbo, Cecil Brooks, and completing data calculations from lab analysis (no, not odds on horses- I was often asked!) from the prior Friday evening into the wee small hours. Cecil's tempo lent much accuracy to manual lab method applied on Friday nights, the beat still echoing- and accurate results were the outcome, published as subject "CCA" lumber. And the prospect of more data to be reduced on a following Thursday made the work pleasant in homey Trumpets. I was christened by the boss "Ted Presto" here- and Emmie's happy touch in science and art and people too.

To Jazzy!
The ONE and ONLY whom I will always remember as being the most grounded and whole-world person I ever met.
Thank you for all the SWC gatherings, thank you for the many pool parties at your home, thank you for your fantastically accurate advice that was right on!, thank you for the many dinners out, thank you for the fast rides in the batmobile (although yours was white then, LOL), thank you for opening my eyes to many things that I was just wrong about (I was).
And thank you for laughing at my craziness (I am)... I could be ME around you, and you accepted me and everyone else. What a fantastic trait that is for anyone to have.
Once in a lifetime we come across a well-rounded individual and you were IT. I hope we will meet again, preferably at a jazz club with a delicious dinner and bottle of the best in front of us, and the stars for ambiance.
I am only sorry that work took up so much of my time these past fews years and I could not come over as much :-(.
With much sorrow at your leaving, but with much appreciation that I was lucky enough to have met you in life.
Lastly, sincere condolences to the whole family...
Suzanne

To Jazzy's Family...
Sending you my sincerest condolences in your time of need. I first met Jazzy on line on the SWC CI list. I met her first up in 2002 after my first CI implant in Alexandria VA, one of many of SWC's conventions. I dont think Jazzy ever missed one convention.
She was just a wonderful person, a people person. I will never forget her, she left a hole in my heart, and left our world way too soon.
Remember, those we love are forever in our hearts... she'll always be in mine...
I know maybe one day we'll meet again Jazzy... You always did JAZZ up a room. Ill never forget you and keep the music going...
Love to all of the Wingert Family, & our SWC Family as well... we lost an amazing person..
Love Andrea F Grohman

I first met Jazzy at the Baltimore Con in 2011 and most recently saw her again at the San Antonio Con in May. I am so happy she was awarded for her continuous work and achievements at the San Antonio Con, it was a well deserved award.
We will all miss Jazzy's enthusiastic devotion to the Say What Club, as much as her family will surely miss her. I'm also sure Jazzy will be looking after each of us on high daily.

Jazzy's (as I knew her) passing was devastating news for me. She was a force of nature. I first "met" her on-line in the SayWhatClub group. Then I was delighted to meet her in person at conventions and at a couple of her parties in New Jersey. We served on the board of directors $for the SayWhatClub for a while, and we loved to talk about the group, have dinner together when we met at conventions. She was so lively, so giving, so incredible.
Condolences to all her family and friends. Know that many of us share your grief.

It is with sadness that I add my condolences to Jazzy's family and friends who are legion. She was a very, very special woman with remarkable achievements. I remember being invited to her "soirees" at her home and meeting many who became good friends. That was my introduction to the SayWhatClub and entrance into a wonderful group of people. I will always remember her with happiness and am sure memories of her will console and uplift all of us.

Smiling through the tears, as I read this written celebration of Jazzy's life. I met Jazzy in 1999, after losing my hearing to the point I could no longer function, and found the SayWhatClub, online. Her coaching and guidance were a big part of the reason I decided to make the leap into cochlear implants, because she did so well. (and, so do I). My son met Jazzy at a SayWhatClub convention in Las Vegas, in the mid-2000's; what he said about her still stands true today: "What a classy lady". Fly high, Jazzy. See you again, my friend.
