Obituary of Kimberly Mahon

Kimberly was born in Newark NJ, grew up in Butler and attended Butler High School, where she dazzled all with her academic aptitude and sports prowess. She went on to graduate from the University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with her thesis in Homelessness. Ms. Mahon had a long distinguished career working in technology and logistics. She was a proud member of the democratic party where she championed many worthy causes both communally and civically. Kim supported the Bulldogs, in particular,the field hockey team and The Maroon from the U of C. Kimberly was an avid swimmer, cyclist, sports enthusiast, she also loved music, was nuts about her nieces and dancing the night away at only good parties. Kimberly was a loving sister, aunt, and godmother. Her kindness, compassion, and empathy toward others was unparalleled, her beautiful smile, warm heart, and considerable intellect will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. Kim was predeceased by her parents Frances Nulty Mahon and Joseph Kelly Mahon. She is survived by her loving sister Maureen, her doting brothers, Kelly, Tim, Tom and Gene. Her sisters in law Patricia Mahon, Silvia Pascoal, and Clare Brennan as well as many loving nieces, a nephew, cousins, aunts, and uncles too numerous to be listed. Kimberly will be so dearly missed and we are all heartbroken, please remember our sister as she lived with a smile on her face and twinkle in her marvelous blue eyes.
