Thomas A. Giles, 78, of Montclair, NJ transitioned into the arms of his Lord on Saturday, December 14, 2013. Viewing will be Friday, December 20, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m, and A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013, 10:00 a.m., both at the Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 27 Monroe Place, Montclair, NJ. Mr. Giles was retired from the A & P Supermarket, The Montclair Kimberly Academy and The Montclair Police Department. He also served faithfully as Deacon, Church Treasurer, President of the Ushers Ministry, Choir member and on occasion as sexton at the Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Deacon Giles was predeceased by a brother, Terry Giles; a close sister, Barbara Elam and special niece, Barbara Perry. He is survived by the Love of His Life, his wife Ieda; one brother William Richardson; a stepbrother, Clyde Staggers; three sisters, Vernie Mae Boyd, Louise Dunmore (Ulycess), and Naomi Marie Dotson; uncle, Larry Giles, along with a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, loving relatives, the Montclair Police Department Family, the Rising Mt.
