Obituary of Stephen Bird

Stephen John Bird passed away on October 27, 2013 in Ocean City, MD. He was born on January 27, 1975 in New York, NY to John and Ann Bird. Stephen grew up in Montclair, NJ. He graduated from Montclair High School in 1993. After high school, he attended Boston University in Boston, MA where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. After college, he owned Renaissance Landscape Contracting in Montclair, NJ. Stephen was a varsity athlete in hockey and lacrosse in high school. He majored in Sociology in college. He did not hesitate to help those less fortunate than himself. He was present at the World Trade Centers on 9/11 and helped several people outside of the towers find safety. He was a history buff and enjoyed cooking. Stephen is survived by his mother, Ann Bird and sister Joanna Bird of Madison, NJ. Stephen was preceded in death by his father, John Bird. The funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd at Immaculate Conception Church in Montclair, NJ. He was laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair, NJ.
