Louis Indovino passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013 in Montclair, NJ at the age of 86. Mr. Indovino was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn before moving to Somerset, NJ in 2005, and was a parishioner of St. Matthias Church. Mr. Indovino had a successful career as an independent insurance agent spending the last 25 years of his career with Buckingham Badler Associates. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during World War II. He was active in the Knights of Columbus serving as Past Grand Knight as well as President of Lords Valley Country Club in Hemlock Farms, PA. Lou was predeceased by his wife Joan of 52 years in 2010 and his son Peter in 1997. He is survived by his daughter Lisa and her husband Paul Ottens of Upper Montclair, NJ, and his son Jay and his wife Jill of St. Louis, MO; his niece Linda and her husband Bill; and his grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, Elias, Nicole, Lauren and Peter. Friends and family may call from 1pm - 5pm Sunday, January 6th at the Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home at 76 Park Street, Montclair, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held 10am, Monday, January 7th at St. Cassian Church,Upper Montclair, NJ. Interment to follow at St. Charles/Resurrection Cemetery in Farmingdale, Long Island. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in support of cancer research to Pedal the Cause at www.pedalthecause.org
