JoAnn Trianno Scher, beloved wife and mother, passed away on Saturday, November 7th. Mrs. Scher grew up in Glen Ridge and was a long time resident of Montclair. The cause of death was breast cancer. Mrs. Scher received her BA and MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and rose through the Executive Training Program at Bloomingdale's. After leaving Bloomingdale's to raise her family, she became an academic, and taught fashion-related courses at Berkley College and Montclair State University. Mrs. Scher is survived by her husband, Andrew, and three children, Brendan, Andie and Taylor. Her mother, Angela, and sisters, Laura and Geraldine, also survive her. Visitation will take place at Union Congregational Church, 176 Cooper Avenue Upper Montclair on Wednesday from7-9 PM. On Thursday, a funeral service will be offered at 10 AM. Interment Mount Hebron Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Arrangements made by the Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park Street Montclair, NJ 07042.
