Our deepest condolences to the Anderson family upon the death of their patriarch, Jack Anderson.
Our families have been linked throughout these many years. We have experienced life‘s happy moments and it sad ones as well. And now we mourn Mr. Anderson‘s passing.
We will remember Mr. Anderson with a smile on his face. His quick wit and wonderful sense of humor often had us laughing. He had a remarkable cool about him and remained unruffled amid the chaos of raising seven children close in age.
I’m sure these last years have been difficult for him, but I am also sure that he faced it all with his customary grace and dignity.
It would be remiss not to mention the Anderson siblings Extraordinary devotion to Mr. and Mrs. Anderson in their final years. It was truly remarkable and inspiring.

I deliberately waited a bit before I sent this note. I didn't want my thoughts to get in the mix of all the well wishers.
I first want to say I loved Jack. His disposition was never anything but happy and engaging. He never said a bad word about anyone , that's because he didn't have to. Jack enjoyed everyone. He did his best to find the good in everyone.
Jack loved that commonwealth club. It was his baby and he nurtured it so. He did his best to keep everything running and looking good. We all took that for granted.
He was a fixture at every event celebrating and having a blast with the gang.
The one thing ill never forget was at board meetings he would be playing cards with Paul pretending he wasn't listening, but when a topic came up that needed clarity , or a suggestion that went against the traditional rules, Jack chimed right in like he didn't miss a beat.
To say he will be missed is an understatement. However, Jack lived life to the fullest. Life owed him nothing.
In closing I DEFINITELY Want to be at the celebration of Jacks life so keep me in the loop. I am still on the email distribution so I'm sure I will see it there.

Sad news…Jack Anderson has passed away at the incredible age of 99 1/2 years old. A WWII Coast Guard vet, he lived an amazing, full life and we’re happy he’s finally at peace after the last few years of infirmity and pain. Jack was a legend, a father and friend to me and a constant presence throughout my whole adult life. Grampa to Dattar, supporter of all our schemes and dreams and a man I admired and trusted. Just heard about Dad. I’m soooooo sorry to hear the sad news. He was an amazing gentleman and he was and always will be a huge force at TW and me personally. He definitely was a character, he had a certain swag about him, but he always stayed relatively quiet but we always had a laugh between all of us throughout the years. He had a long and meaningful life and I hope the great memories of him lives with you and your family forever. Thanks for letting us know but we will miss him tremendously.

Just heard your father passed away. I always enjoyed talking with him. He was an inspiration on growing old and living life. I lost my father when he was 73, I miss him every day. I felt fortunate to spend time with your father and told him stories I wish I could have shared with my father.

John - I didn’t know Jack as well as many in the club but I thoroughly enjoyed his company every time we were together. He was a true gentleman but also had a great sense of humor - a rare combination. I apologize for the late note of condolence for your dad. Jack was a special individual and certainly not the kind of guy that people would soon forget. As a CC Member, he was unique. Not just for the many things that he did for the Club over generations of membership. He made friends across all age groups - the “forever young” chap that just fit in with guys of all ages. He was comfortable with the young members and the bowlers, and they enjoyed hanging out with him. Bowling might have been his calling card, but he was an easy going guy that just didn’t seem to worry about “staying in his lane”, age wise. And on the other hand, he wasn’t one to mince his words if he thought you deserved a verbal kick in the keister. He walked the center line, true to himself, and people respected him for it.
How many guys do any of us know that was that cool?! The Club’s very own Dirty Harry.
The CC has a rich history of bringing likeminded “gentlemen” together to create lifelong friendships. The Club and Jack brought people who would have never known each other and made them friends. Jack was instrumental in that chemistry. Even Sandy loved him, and Mable probably had warm things to say about him too, if anyone stopped to listen! Short of the Pope, I’m not sure that you’ll find tougher-to-get references.
So, let me raise a glass to honor what must be the CC Club’s all-time favorite son. I’m sure you and your family are proud. Your eulogy was so well done. It painted a beautiful picture of your dad. May he rest in peace. And I hope that he gets a waiver in Heaven to occasionally flip the bird. He did it with such class that even an angel would be honored to be flipped off by him.
RIP, Jack. Keep flippin’. You were the Uncommon Man.
