The Flannery/Lamb families and friends mourn the passing of Elizabeth Lamb Myers Flannery, who died on July 27, 2011 at the St. Vincent's Nursing Home in Cedar Grove. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:30 AM on Monday August 1 at Immaculate Conception Church, North Fullerton Avenue, Montclair. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Visiting hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 on Sunday at the Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park Street Montclair. Mrs. Flannery (Betty) was the wife of the late WM. Howard Flannery and the late PVT. James B. Myers. Her brothers William, Joseph and John predeceased her. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Margaret Austin and her husband James, and numerous nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Mrs. Flannery was born in Montclair and lived there most of her life. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society of Our Lady of Lourdes, West Orange, The Catholic Daughters of America, Court Unitas #499 Montclair, St. Vincent's Nursing Home Auxiliary, and St. Matthew's Guild. Mrs. Flannery had been secretary to the assistant superintendent of Schools in Montclair for many years and a volunteer at St. Vincent's Hospital and Nursing Home for 30 years. The greatest joy of her life was spending time with family and friends. She was deeply devoted to her family, friends and her Irish heritage.
