Obituary of James Donald JR

James Clarence Donald, Jr., 75, of Montclair, New Jersey, passed away peacefully in his sleep January 4, 2012. Mr. Donald was born April 9, 1936 in Phoenix, Arizona to James Clarence Donald, Sr. and Bertha Louise (Parker) Donald. He attended Jordan Junior High School and Palo Alto Senior High School in Palo Alto, California, graduating in 1953. He then attended Cogswell Polytechnic College in San Francisco, California, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. His interests included playing clarinet, listening to jazz and classical music, track and field, football and golf, and especially watching the Summer Olympics on television. He also enjoyed traveling to points near and far through the Elderhostel program. He is survived by a son, James Clarence Donald, III of Birdsboro, Pennsylvania and a daughter, Adrienne Jensen of Montclair, New Jersey. He also was loved dearly by his three grandchildren, Kai-Sigurd Adil Jensen, Finn-Olav Akil Jensen, and Solveig-Margrete Amina Vital Jensen. He was predeceased by his first wife, Clara Nell (Black) Donald, who died in 1987. Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation (http://www.pdf.org).
