Obituary of Maxine Allen

Allen, Maxine Rigaud died March 23, 2011, after a long illness. Viewing will be Monday, March 28, from 6-9 pm in the St. James Episcopal Church Chapel and the funeral on Tuesday, March 29, at 11 am at St James Church. The Chapel and Church are at 581 Valley Road, Upper Montclair. A reception in the Church library will follow the funeral. Donations in her memory may be made to St. James Church. Mrs. Allen was a 34-year resident of Upper Montclair and member of the Women's Club. A former model, she also worked as an executive assistant at Conde Nast Publications and Blood Donor Representative at North Jersey Blood Center. Loved by all who met her, Mrs. Allen was predeceased by husband Wilbert L. Allen and is survived by three children: daughter Patrice of Washington, DC; son Bill of Upper Montclair; and son Rick of Richardson, Texas; four cherished grandchildren, Mark, Todd, Richard and Bridgette; a sister, Florence, and brother, Philippe.
