Lisa C Dinwiddie

Lisa Christine Dinwiddie, 54, of Chicago, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020 in Montclair, NJ.  Lisa was a beloved daughter of Alfred W. Dinwiddie I and the late Christine H. Dinwiddie.  She graduated from Kenwood Academy High School in Chicago, IL and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Systems from Florida A&M University.  Lisa enjoyed a long career as an IT consultant and strategic project manager to large corporations, hospitals and a variety of state agencies.  She was a PROSCI certified Organizational Change Management professional and specialized in SAP, Siebel, EPIC and Oracle implementations. 


Lisa was a committed advocate for women's initiatives and dedicated her time to several volunteer organizations.  She served as a member of the board of directors for the Elizabeth Blackwell Health Center (Women's Way) in Philadelphia, PA.  In Chicago, Lisa volunteered with Women Employed and the Chicago Foundation for Women.  Lisa deeply adored her family and friends and was a lifelong, devoted member of Crerar Memorial Presbyterian Church in Chicago, IL.  Lisa was selfless - always thinking of others' well being. She was steadfast in her commitment to family and friends- always inquiring how they were and how the children were progressing.  She doted on her niece and nephews as she was their confidant, counselor, and chief cheerleader. Lisa was a great listener and a wonderful conversationalist. She was known for her engaging discussions on current events, entertainment, politics, as well as a wide array of other topics.  Her presence was felt at any gathering, commanding respect while easily conveying her wonderful spirit. 


Lisa is survived by her father Alfred W. Dinwiddie I; sister Lynn (Sengal) Selassie and brother Alfred W. Dinwiddie II; nephews Alec Dinwiddie and Lukas Selassie and her niece Eden Selassie.  Lisa is further survived by a host of close family and friends across the country and will be dearly missed by all.
