Obituary of Alma C Connor

A. Christine Connor, 94, of Essex Fells, N.J. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 6, 2017.

 

Mrs. Connor was raised in Kirkwood, Missouri and was a longtime resident of Essex Fells. She graduated from the University of Toronto and in her fifties earned a Masters in Library Science from Pratt Institute. She was a devoted wife and mother of her three children before she started her career as the Head Medical Librarian at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J.

 

Chris always enjoyed all sports particularly bowling with her many friends at Essex Fells Country Club. She enjoyed her summer trips to the family cabin in Wyoming and other trips with her family to the Jersey Shore. She was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at the many family gatherings.

 

Mrs. Connor was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Bob. She is survived by her three children, William Robert (Chrissy), Richard (Nancy) and Sally Archibald (Larry). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Also predeceasing Chris was her devoted brother Willard.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
